This is a quiet time of the year in the garden, giving you time to think of any changes you would like to make, for example, putting in new flowerbeds or changing the shape of your lawn. Check you garden equipment and drop your lawnmower and other garden machinery into JW Tools for its annual service. If the weather is mild you can occasionally cut the grass with the mower blades set high to maintain about an inch of growth. Keep of the grass if it is frozen or waterlogged. If you walk on frizen grass the footprint you leave will show up later as a yellow patch. Make a note of wet patches so you can introduce more drainage in Spring. Remove any leaves from your lawn with a leaf blower.
